I'm stupid I know.
How do you set a channel so that it always requires a password to join? I can set the password, but when I leave the channel it stops requiring the password.
It also removes my bans when I leave, not so much a big deal if I get the password things solved.
Thanks |

Hi,
You can force the key with modelock (/cs help set mlock), but I'm afraid whoever joins your empty channel will be able to see the password.
A much smarter way to keep the channel for only the ones you'd like is to use the restricted option (/cs help set restricted), that kickbans anyone who is not in the access list.
If you can't use restricted, I'd guess the best way would be keeping one or two shells connected at all times, through the use of bouncers or bots that you could run. Unfortunately our services bots leave when the channel is empty. |
