hello
i keep getting this message:
* Connecting to irc.irchighway.net (6668)
-
* Unable to resolve server
-
* Connect retry #1 irc.irchighway.net (6661)
-
* Unable to resolve server
-
* Connect retry #2 irc.irchighway.net (6664)
-
* Unable to resolve server
i checked other posts with similar problems and tried flushing the dns but it still doesn't work. please help! |

Hey there Pmoni. Try typing /server irc.irchighway.net 6667
It looks like it was either a port problem, or you just happened to be getting forwarded to a server that went down. |

I think one of you is the guy I talked to in IRC?
That issue is happening because we moved a DNS server and the update is now propagating. I believe in some hours you should be able to connect normally. If that happens, or in the meanwhile, you can using mibbit, or our webchat located at webchat.irchighway.net, to talk to us online so that we can redirect you to the best DNS server manually; mibbit and the webchat won't suffer from the DNS issue. |

In fact, the DNS update happened several days ago, so it should have propagated by now.
It's possible some ISPs are running sloppily configured nameservers which don't update as often as they should. |

This problem appears to be specific to Eastern European countries like Romania and Bulgaria, and also Greece.

| I think I have found the problem - the nameserver move introduced a small error into our database. It should be fixed now. |
